This French Toast recipe is perfect for easy breakfast when you have some leftover sandwich bread. Some plant based milk of your choice and a couple of other simple ingredients and you can have a meal that looks and tastes as it is served in a 5 star restaurant.
The recipe requires no eggs, no milk, no sugar and it is 100% vegan. Well, it is not made only with wholefoods, but once you give it a try you will not be thinking about that that’s for sure.
For the recipe you will need:
9 slices of sandwich bread (I’ve used whole wheat bread)
1 cup of soy milk (any plant based milk would work)
1 tbsp tapioca starch (corn starch works as well)
1 tsp cinnamon
3 ripe bananas (I’ve used frozen bananas)
1 tbsp cacao powder
Maple sirup to taste (this is totally up to you)
Some fresh Blueberries and Raspberries or whatever fresh fruit you have on hand
