Lauzet is an old french wine grape variety originating from South West France were it is virtually extinct. When it is cultvated, lauzet is often blended with Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng and Petit Courbu, other local grapes in that Southwestern part of France, otably for making the dry and sweet wines of Jurancon.
Chateau Palmer of Margaux has now recently started using lauzet as a component of the blend for their white wine, le Vin Blanc de Palmer.
