My First Epcot Food & Wine Festival, My Craziest Guest Story & Bean Boozled

I love the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival so much! I went twice in this DCP vlog, but first, I had eight days of work! Wohoo! On Wednesday, I had a PM shift, ate some Taco Bell, and chilled on the couch with Carolyn and Haley. I told you about our upcoming plans for four parks in one day and my family’s plans to stay at Beach Club! On Thursday, I had another PM shift. On Friday, I had in-service training and an AM shift. This was when my craziest guest story happened. I would love to go into full detail in a later video, but for right now, all I will say is that I’m glad my shift was almost over. Meghan drove me home and we stopped at Chick fil A. I took a nap and cleaned up the apartment to end the crazy day. On Saturday, I had a PM shift and made Mickey’s Not So Scary plans with Carolyn. On Sunday, I had another PM shift and was feeling very exhausted.
On Monday, we finally had some fun! After an AM shift and the Disney Housing bus never arriving, Abby and I went to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival for the very first time! After grabbing a new magic band, a new pin, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak challenge, and a gift for Abby’s roommate, we walked around the World Showcase and tried some amazing food! In India, we tried the Warm Indian Bread. In Germany, we tried the Schinkennudeln, Roast Bratwurst, and Apple Strudel. In America, Abby tried the New Brunswick Slider. In Hawaii, I tried the Kalua Pork Slider. I can wholeheartedly say that all the food was 10/10. Then, we did Living with the Land and called in a night. I got back home, went to Walgreens, made a to-do list, and played Bean Boozled with Haley and Carolyn.
On Tuesday, I had a PM shift and got some gifts for Meghan’s birthday. On Wednesday, I got an early release from my AM shift and took a nap! Wohoo! Then, Meghan and I celebrated her birthday at Food and Wine! We rode Spaceship Earth and giggled at the end video. We wandered around the Festival Center and tried the Tropical Mimosa at the Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar and some free chocolate at the Ghiradelli Chocolate Experience. We tried the Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese at Active Eats, the ‘Le Cellier’ Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon at Canada, the Belgium Waffle with both Warm Chocolate Ganache and Berry Compote at Belgium, and the La Passion Martini Slush from France. We watched Illuminations from France and headed back home. Haley and I went to pick up Carolyn from work and had an epic 2010’s dance party in the car. We also stopped at Wawa for a milkshake. 🙂

Hi friends! My name is Kimmy Martino and I filmed every day of my Disney College Program. I was a lifeguard at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for the DCP Fall Advantage 2018 program and extended into the DCP Spring 2019 program. I am posting all of my daily vlogs from my time as a Disney Cast Member and calling it DCP Diaries. Some videos might span an entire week or only a couple days. It just depends on what I was up to and how much I filmed. And that is the reason I wanted to vlog every day. I wanted to document the entire experience! I didn’t just want to show having fun in the Disney Parks. I wanted to include the days when I looked like trash, went to work and lifeguarded for up to 11 hours, came home, did laundry, and went to bed. Because that is what it is really like!
