With 26,000 acres of land and water, Patoka Lake is a fine example of lake ecology. An 8,800-acre lake provides habitat for freshwater jellyfish and bald eagle nesting sites. River otters and osprey were reintroduced at Patoka by the DNR. Patoka Lake has plenty of recreation activities…hiking, biking, boating, kayaking, and more! Patoka Lake Winery is just outside the park, along with options for dining. Just 12 miles down the road is downtown French Lick West Baden, home to the French Lick Resort, French Lick Winery, Wilstem Wildlife Park, and more.
