I did it! I am so delighted to say I have picked a recipe from Chef, youtuber, and filmmaker Andrew Rea’s cookbook, “Binging With Babish.” The recipe I decided to go with is Andrew’s all time favorite recipe #beefburgundy. This dish was inspired by the movie Julia Julia. It is alsoJulia Child’s first dish that she cooked on the very first episode of her successful TV cooking show, The French Chef. Thank you Andrew for publishing this amazing cookbook. I highly recommend this #recipe and stay tuned for more.

Ingredients:
3 pounds of chuck roast
kosher and freshly ground pepper
6 slices of thick cut bacon
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion sliced
4 or 5 carrots, chopped
3 cups red Burgundy wine
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 cups beef stock
3 garlic cloves minced
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 pound pearl onions, unpeeled
boiling water
2 tbsp unsalted butter
8 ounces cremini mushrooms, halved
chopped fresh parsley for garnish
