Cold brew coffee tastes smoother than hot drip coffee, is less acidic, and has more caffeine. Plus, if you brew it at home, it costs less than a dollar per cup! — what more do you need?

We’ll teach you how to use three popular cold brewing methods — a french press, a cold brew infuser (Penguin Brewer, in our case), and the Toddy Cold Brew System.

By using a French Press to cold brew your coffee, you will achieve a denser, bolder flavor. This is because the grounds are directly in the water, and the standard french press metal mesh filter allows more dissolved solids to come through.

A Cold Brew Infuser offers an extremely smooth flavor, as the coffee grounds are steeped through a metal mesh infuser rather than sitting directly in the water. This gives the cold brew a cleaner extraction than that of a french press.

With a Toddy Cold Brew System, the grounds are soaked directly in the water, similar to the french press. However, the specially made Toddy filters have extremely fine filtering capabilities and provide a clean, high capacity brew. Unlike the other two methods shown which are ready instantly after the 14-24 hour brewing process, the Toddy System requires an additional 15-20 minutes to drain.

Following our recipe, you’ll be able to make your own delicious cold brew coffee every single time! Enjoy!
