Kalgoorlie’s premier venue for accommodation, fine dining, weddings and functions.

AGFG Recommendation:

When the mood strikes for tapas, Kalgoorlie locals head to Cecilia’s On Hay. This all-encompassing venue offers fine fare and accommodation in infamous surrounds on Hay Street, where it was reputedly once an upmarket brothel. Now Cecilia’s welcomes guests into vintage opulence with softly draped French doors and windows, mosaic-covered dining chairs and soft, mood lighting creating a relaxed yet glam ambience.

About Cecilia’s on Hay Restaurant:

Gail the chef got her inspiration from her father who was a chef in the merchant navy and she started cooking at the age of 7. As she forged her skills her parents worked full time and she learnt to cook more and more. Drew was lucky to meet her 23 years ago and realized No.1: she could cook; No.2: she could think outside the box. Her organizational skills are second to none and the food was consistent and amazing. She has become the unknown chef with a great reputation. Nothing is impossible, it is seen as a challenge, Gail has a way of playing with your taste buds.

Front of House, Andrew Alcock (Drew):

Drew has been in hospitality for over 30 years, nothing is more important to him than the customer. He started in front bars, lounge bars, restaurants, night clubs to owning his own hotel for 8 years. When he met Gail they worked together in Yankalilla, S.A. ; Mount Gambier, S.A,; Devonport, Tas.; Strahan, Tas; Alice Springs, N.T.; Agnew, W.A.; and now Kalgoorlie, W.A. Hospitality is in his blood.
