Santiago Deicas is charting a new course for the esteemed family business with “Bizarra” and other innovative winemaking techniques. This dazzling orange hued wine has grabbed attention in London where it was recently named a “Wine of the Month” by Decanter Magazine and where it is distributed by “Nominator” Carla Bertellotti of Vinos Latinos.
Using marketing and branding more akin to craft beer Santiago and his business partners are attracting new audiences to this unique wine style made from a combination of Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng.
A colourful “Battle” of two excellent skin contact wines will be decided by judges in Paris and Montevideo.
The opposition winemakers are a coupLe of very cool French brothers – Benoît and Sébastien Danjou who work from French Catalunya – and the wine “Nominator” is Marseille based Sommelier Caroline Loiseleux
