Restaurant and cafe terraces reopened in Paris on Tuesday after French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced the further loosening of lockdown measures.
Parisians were seen dining at outside patios on the French capital’s Champs-Elysees.
Almost all French regions have been downgraded to a green status that allows cafes and bars to reopen inside and outside with some restrictions, leaving only the Ile de France, including Paris, area as orange, where establishments may only serve clients on outside terraces.
According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, France has registered more than 186,000 coronavirus cases with 28,662 deaths related to the virus.
