The Judgment of Paris was a wine competition organized in Paris on 24 May 1976 by Steven Spurrier, a British wine merchant, in which French judges carried out blind tastings comparing top-quality French and California Chardonnay and Cabernet-based wines.
The results shocked the French and the Americans and indeed the world. We will reveal those results and then conduct our own comparison of California and French Chardonnays during the tasting.
