Another day at home means another wonderful recipe! Today we are making Kaya French Toast! Kaya is a jam made from eggs, sugar, coconut milk, and pandan leaves usually served on toast or on desserts. Recipe for Kaya French Toast:
Ingredients:
Thick white toast,
No sugar added Singapore Kaya,
Eggs (1 egg per set of toast),
seasonal fruits,
butter,
oil,
salt,
icing sugar
Preparation:
1) Wash and cut fresh fruits
2) Cut off the edges of toasts and spread Kaya between the toast.
3) Crack eggs onto a plate and beat the egg and add a tiny pinch of salt
4) Dip the toast into the egg, making sure that all the edges are covered with egg batter as well
5) Heat up the pan and add butter and oil and fry the toast until golden brown on all sides and edges.
6) Place french toast onto a plate add small cube of butter on top of the French toast and sprinkle icing sugar on top, then add fruits around the French Toast.
