Hi! Wanted to try something different, so I hope you don’t mind the change in editing style 🙂
This is a ‘french toast’ recipe that my mom taught me how to make when I was a kid. With the limited ingredients in my house, I didn’t have everything I needed to make it exactly the same but I did my best! Please enjoy 🙂
P.S. I’m not a chef so pls don’t be too harsh my subpar cooking skills LOL. And I know people usually use syrup, but this is how I ate it growing up!
Recipe:
– 1 egg
– Pinch of cinnamon (Optional)
– Teaspoon of sugar
– 3-4 Piece of bread
– 2 teaspoon Butter
– Splash of milk*
– Fruit or nuts of choice
*Ingredients with a star are the ingredients I didn’t have but you can include to make tastier!
1. Crack your egg into a flat plate
2. Break the yolk, and whisk together
3. Add milk, cinnamon, and sugar into egg mixture and mix until even
4. Put your stove to medium/high and wait for your pan to heat up
5. Butter your pan when hot and turn your stove down to medium
6. Dip your bread into the yolk mixture and place on the pan
7. After ~5minutes, flip your bread over (depending on your stove’s heat)
8. Heat for another 5 minutes and then plate it with some fruit, syrup or nuts of your choice!
Enjoy 🙂
