In France, we call it “Soupe à l’oignon”. Hi, I am a self-taught amateur French cook sharing my personal French onion soup recipe, from my modest kitchen in France 🙂

This is a simple and tasty French onion soup recipe made from the heart.
Nothing fancy, just yummy!

Like Gusteau said in Ratatouille: Anyone can cook.
But I say: You “cuisine” and Voilà!

Ingredients (for 4 people)
– 4 onions
– 1 clove of garlic
– Bread
– Butter
– 2/3 of a bottle of dry white wine (I use Muscadet from Loire Valley in France)
– Thyme
– 2 bay leaves
– 1 vegetable stock cube
– 1,5L of water
– Salt
