Sommelier Gagan SHARMA visits one of India’s only boutique winery in Nasik, the picturesque Vallonne Vineyards, and talks with their chief Winemaker, Sanket Gawand. Amongst many unique wines, they produce India’s sweetest and the only Vin de Passerillage wine, based on Chenin Blanc. Sanket shares how is this style different from the usually adopted Late Harvest style, why did they settle for it, and what to expect when tasting it. Gagan goes on to decipher the wine.
