If you’re following our Casual Winers Wine 101 program, you’ll be familiar with this type of wine. Rieslings from Alsace, France are light and dry. They are NOT to be confused with their across the border German Rieslings which are often sweet. The German will add grape juice or sugar to their Rieslings.
As you can see from watching this tasting, this Riesling is dry with citrus aromas. It’s very light and refreshing as you can expect from wines from this grape variety. Think of it like a dry limeade with a nice refreshing finish. Very smooth and only a little acidic.
