I've just bought the Karup Japan bed frame in 160×200 and I'm now hunting for a suitable bedside table and a rug to go underneath (thinking 3/4 under the bed).
Karup do their own bedside table, but I'd really value something with drawers to hide clutter. I'm leaning towards a symmetrical setup, so one on each side.
Finally, if anyone has experience with under-bed storage on this frame, I'd love to hear how you went about it.

Nice setup! For that symmetrical look, matching light wood nightstands with drawers, like in this mockup, are a perfect choice. Also, a big, textured jute or wool rug really pulls the whole room together and adds texture. Under-bed storage can be a bit of a squeeze, but shallow rolling bins are key. Hope this gives you some inspo!
