Working on my late ‘60s nursery. This is a 5×7 rug. Do I need to size up to 6×9 or does this work? It’s washable, so the smaller rug is more likely to fit into my washing machine. The bare wall will have a bookcase, so that will take up some of that floor space. A concern with the larger rug is that the pattern will dominate the small room if more floor is covered.

I’d prefer to keep the smaller rug if it does work, but I’m willing to size up if it looks too small in the space.

Its a cute room for a picture but how do you think thats going to feel at 3am, 4 days after baby comes. When you’re sleep deprived, more sore than you’ve ever been in your life and your in a delirium?

I suggest hood back and arm support that is comfortable enough for your body to relax and rest a bit and something you can easily get up and down from by yourself while holding a baby

    Best of luck and congratulations!

    5×7 works well.

From a nursing mom: If you plan on nursing that chair is going to be uncomfortable af. Honestly even bottle feeding in that looks uncomfortable. Big arm supports are a must.

    Congrats!

  3. I’m going to hold your hand while I say this, genuinely, that chair is going to be a nightmare for a nursery. Do you find airplane seats comfortable? Because that’s what you got. The other poster was right you want something that has arm and back support. Because there will be days where you might not sleep in it but baby will be napping hard and you’ll be stuck upright in it.

It works. You want at least 12” from the wall to the rug anyway.

Edit: sorry just saw the second pic. I would size up if it won’t be too big lengthwise.
