Heyo, ever since my trip to Italy 3 years ago I have begun (lightly) collecting wine.

I typically purchase loose bottles at auction from a local merchant I can pick up from. I also have a 56 single zone wine fridge that has temperature control.

My usual taste preference is Italian reds, with a slight favorite toward Nebbiolo. However, dolcetto, Barbera, and Brunello are also my all in my top list.

I am curious what experts who have a lifetime or just years of experience think of some of the wines I have. None of these are by any means big wins besides maybe the 82 Lafite but it’s a Carruades. I have a Coravin that I use on my cellar defender type of wines to keep those lasting. I have multiple of most of these bottles and have had all sorts of other I would I say mid tier aged wines roll in and out.

My most exciting wines so far have been these Tua Ritas, The Campgiovani 1990, and I had a half crate of 375ml Pianrosso Ciacci Piccolomini 2001. I am drinking the 82 Lafite this coming weekend in celebration of an arriving child, I plan to post those notes. But my top favorite may be these Cortese Rabaja Barbarescos 2010, the are seriously drinking so well right now.

Curious what you all think of this collection from a beginners perspective?
