We rent a split level house, so the sitting room sits below the dining room (behind the railing). This diagonal fireplace is driving me mad. We can’t remove it and I can’t think of anything to put on top of it.
The top of the fireplace can be easily seen from the dining room as well so the back of whatever is out there needs to be nice. I originally wanted a large mirror but can’t find one that is freestanding. HELP! What would you do?
