Hi everyone!! this is my first apartment on my own, and I’m trying to make the bedroom feel cozy, relaxing, and put together. I honestly don’t know much about color matching or interior design, so I’ve been figuring it out as I go.

I chose white bedding because I wanted to keep things neutral and simple for design purposes, and now I’m trying to play around with rug colors/styles to warm up the room. I’d really appreciate any input on what rug colors or styles you think would match best with the bed and flooring, or help create a calm, cozy feel.

I don’t have much other furniture going in the room besides a nightstand, so the rug will have a big impact on the look. I’m very open to opinions and suggestions (even if it’s something I haven’t considered).

Thanks so much!

If you wanna go for purely relaxing, I’d say 1. But if you want cozy and warm up the space, then definitely 4! It makes everything feel so much warmer already. It’s for sure my favourite choice out of all of them.

I love 3 as well! Feels like a mix between relaxing and cozy, just bit less warm, so you should definitely add more warm items to it.

If you’re trying to keep everything neutral, number one is my favorite. Maybe pair that with a piece of artwork and you’re good!

It depends on the vibe you want for the room. 5 speaks to me for some reason, but so do the others to lesser degree.

Depends on your vibe but number 2 looks so cool. It speaks to me

2 if you want a nice accent piece, 3 if you want a bit of color but keep it simple!

Are these rugs from Amazon? #3 looks like one that was put into an office space at my job and it was trashed within less than a year. Mind you, it was in a private office under a desk with minimal traffic. If I’m right and it’s the same rug I can definitely say not #3.

Honestly, I’d suggest getting art that speaks to you first, and then pick a rug from there! They all look great, but the art will tie it in
