We have a very angled living room and we recently added the brown recliners. We have tried to put them in different locations But they keep feeling out of place. As if they don't belong.
Do I maybe need to add something around them? Maybe try a different location? Maybe change around the living room totally?
Please help, would love to get some ideas on this

Get a rug
Put one on each side of couch to start
Please get some lamps instead of that harsh overheard lighting. Or a dimmer switch at least.
They don’t go with the couch at all, or the semi decor that you have.
If you want them together in front of the TV then move the couch over to the other window. Put a coffee table in front of the couch and one or two end tables with lamps, if there is room since your pictures distort perspective, and leave it as a seating area where the TV is not the only focus.
Those overhead lights offer a very institutional feel to the room. It looks like either you are ready for surgery or interagations. Put the overhead on a dimmer. Add an end table between the chairs with a lamp.
Rugs do a lot of heavy lifting in warming up rooms.
A bit of art on the walls would help but be careful because you could go full dentist office esthetic here fast.
Rug, wall art, blankets, pillows. New paint colour?
Could you try putting one on either side of the couch? And maybe adding some throw pillows to the white couch that resemble some of the brown from the recliner? And maybe a rug that ties in all colors? Then some artwork of some sort with some nice earthy pops of color, like maybe terracotta or something? Idk, I feel like you should lean into the earth tones. I don’t love those deep red pillows and they’re really big.

The off beige/white shade of the color would pair well with the very, very white living room and the recliners. Basically, find a rug that has an “in between” color between the white and brown. The small color accents of the rug help bring some warmth into a very white room.

How many people will be watching tv? Are the recliners specifically for tv watching?
I would make an L shaped seating arrangement with one piece facing the tv directly and the other piece(s) in front of the side window.
Ignore the angled wall when placing the main furniture.
maybe a slip cover for the couch in a stripe or print that includes some of that brown. and a large rug under including some of that color. The color contrast between the couch and the recliners needs to be pulled together, and I would add another brighter color like blue or green. Artwork on the walls would also make a difference.
if you don’t want to do a slip cover, I would go for a throw and large couch cushions in those colors.
I think the standard CRAP applies here: color, rug, art, and plants.
Get a rug to create a clear delineation between your tv area and the rest of the room. Angle the chairs and couch around the rug. And lower the tv—it’s too high for how much room is between it and your seating
Can you return them? They belong in a basement remodel .
A warm colored rug for sure and throw pillows
Also get rid of the “big light” and have several warm lamps or orbs

You have a beautiful blank slate here. I did a couple of different mock ups to give you some ideas. You might have to play around with the furniture placement because of the angles of the walls. A big area rug and the right lighting and soft elements like drapes, throws, and pillows will really draw everything together.

A large rug that has both cream and the brown of the chairs should do it.
I’d try to place the sofa in front of the sofa. Then angling each recliner on either side. Plus, get a colorful rug with brown, cream, maybe w green and a deep rust and black. Plus, you need a coffee table, darkish wood, in front of the sofa. Plus small tables on sides of recliner. And lamps!!!!! I don’t like rooms with bright bright overhead lighting only! You need something to help warm the room! I’m thinking an olive green. Lights should be soft, not fluorescent.
A brown & white cowhide rug would tie the two colors together. I’d put the brown chairs in front of the window facing the tv and the sofa would be the room divider. You would see the back of the sofa from the kitchen area.

Balance out visually heavy brown by putting each chair perpendicular (not angled) to couch. Meed space around chairs to offset heaviness. Add a large colorful patterned rug to pick up rust color and others you like. Use rug color palette to choose bold art, lamps, planters, pillows, throws, and accessories. Spread color around the room for visual balance.
Not ideal given the odd room shape, but assuming that you are keeping all furniture, here is what I would do: slipcover sofa and use as a divider from the dining space, recliners in front of the window side by side with a small table between them, and area rug/art to pull the room together so the space doesn’t have a sterile feel.

I don’t think the chairs are the issue, you need more decorations and colors. And I would get a couch over . To much white. And pillows. Something on the walls and throw rugs!! It looks like a great room to chill and watch the tv. Just need some personal touches! Do you have cats? If so some climbing toys on the walks would cool. Keep us posted on What you do!
Why are brown recliners so ugly and yet so very comfortable? Move the couch to its own separate area, put the chairs together with a table and lamp in between the chairs. Big rug and lots of color.
Have you tried to reassure them that the other furniture is just as nervous?
