  1. Guess I’m the minority here. I love the painted trim.

Painted trim can look great, but I’d recommend having it be a higher gloss to add contrast.

Personally I think trim painted to match the wall has a more sophisticated look to it, like, I think it looks great in a dining room or formal living room, but I wouldn’t prefer it in a kid’s room

You won’t actually be able to paint your windows that color. So it won’t have quite as cool of an effect as this picture makes it seem

White trim for sure. It makes the room feel brighter.

It’s too moody with the painted trim

I prefer the white trim, but I think both look nice! As a seasoned mom, I think painted trim is most practical. Little boys are essentially sentient dirt balls.

White. It opens up the room, makes it look brighter and really compliments the window and wall colour

No! The white brightens the room and adds some contrast. It looks great in the first pic.

No! And what is the name of this stunning wall paint?

Keep it white. It gives it a fresh clean look.

Painting all the trim creates a closed box feel to the room. That works better in rooms that you don’t spend a lot of time in (eg, powder rooms, guest rooms), but in a room where you (or in this case your toddler) will be spending hours at a time in, it can feel claustrophic or closed in. And when you add in the furniture, toys, artwork, and so on, it will add to that feeling.

The white trim breaks up the box and defines the space.

I’m usually in the minority in this, but I love color drenching. Trims matching the walls. But the right answer is always what you think looks best!
