Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This 30 year old Merlot is still drinking nicely. Not at its peak anymore, but very tasty nonetheless. Elegant with some fruits left. Complex and interesting.
I’ve had a recent vintage not too long ago that was drinking better, although I did love the complexity here, especially on the nose.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with food too.
A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 12 months in (30% new) French oak barrels.
