Hi all,
Would really appreciate any advice. We bought a house and it’s taken forever to decorate as I struggle to commit to spending anything, particularly in the large combined dining and living area. All of our furniture is old from when we were really broke so are in the process of replacing them all.
Because we have a ginormous 83 inch tv, we had to put the tv on the wall next to the entry way rather than above the fire place which is where the last owners had it. However, we only have a very expensive and frumpy couch from Arhaus that fit our apartment when we had it but now looks a bit sad in the new space. If we turn the coach and buy an ottoman, it might work better visually but then it wouldn’t be comfortable to watch the tv (since there would be no back and I don’t think there’s a space to add a chair and an ottoman. I don’t want to spend on an l sectional but it feels like that might be our only option. Any ideas?
As for the kitchen, I want to replace the mirror and bar area with a buffet table. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We got the pottery barn toscana table for super cheap ($600 for all) so we are stuck with that. I think it is in the color sea drift.
Above the fireplace, I want to replace with a piece of artwork, mainly to cover up the plug.
Any suggestions on layout or decor would be appreciated. thank you in advance!

I actually don’t mind the couch/tv arrangement from what I can see. I think you might just need a larger coffee table or an ottoman, and definitely a rug for that space. But have you tried the dining table facing the other way? Might use the length of the room better and not block the entry so much. Otherwise a big piece of art in the tv area and you’ll be on your way!
