Rossidi Winery is a relatively young, boutique winery located in the Thracian Valley near the village of Nikolaevo in Bulgaria.
The Thracian Valley (PDO) is one of the oldest wine regions in Europe, with traditions dating back several thousand years. The Thracians were the first wine producers here, for whom wine has cultural and religious significance. Herodotus in his "Histories" noting their distinct approach to wine consumption – the Thracians often drank it undiluted, which set them apart from the rest of the Greek world.
This wine produced using fermentation in egg-shaped concrete tanks.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay.
Color: golden with greenish reflections.
On the nose: citrus notes, such as lime, dominate, complemented by hints of fruit, pear and peach, as well as subtle aromas of white flowers.
On the palate: the wine is medium-bodied, with distinct, fresh acidity and a harmonious structure. The finish is medium-long, citrusy, and refreshing.
