So we have this family heirloom side table. It sits 16” tall and has a “16 diameter. We are getting ready for a move so I don’t have pictures of our other furniture or space, just waning to brainstorm.
Most of the rest of our furniture is contemporary or classical styling, cherry wood. This isn’t really out usual style, but is a very nice piece, and we have been purging so much family stuff prepping for the move and we want to keep a few things. Just want to have a use for it instead of it sitting in the basement like it has the last 15 years. This really table sits too low to use as a side table, or use in our entryway.

Plant stand
Might be an improvement if you paint the gold parts black
It’s a keeper ❤️
Maybe you can put some wood foil over the marble, a nuance matching the cherry wood in the rest of the furniture
omg give it to me 🤩
But seriously, you could use it as a nightstand, beside your sofa, or in a reading nook. The gold seems to match well with the wood tones I see in the background. I think the issue here is that you just don’t like it.
If it doesn’t make you happy, that’s okay. Give it to a relative if you want to keep it in the family or…to me. Give it to me.
I will gladly take it op if it just won’t fit into your style lol(jk). But for real that’s stunning, id probably use it as a plant stand. Tho it feels like a crime to cover it up, you could throw some fabric on top to tone it down. I like to use pretty scarves I don’t wear often. That’ll also act as a small protectant for the top.
Exactly how tall is the table? That info might help to figure out where to place it.
I have bedside tables and tables next to our couch that are quite low, but that also might depend on the size of your furniture. If it’s too low for that or doesn’t look good there, it might be a good place to put a large house plant or one of those large lamps that is in-between table- and floor-size. I have a monstera on a table like that, and it’s really good for creating multiple “levels” in the living room
