Oh my! Lunch at Drago’s led us on a delightful tasting of four mouth watering Cajun seafood dishes like no one can duplicate!

Our latest lunch at Drago’s Jackson was filled with unexpected delight. We asked the server to order a few dishes that we hadn’t tried, and he didn’t disappoint!

He started us with the Blackened Alligator Salad. It’s blackened alligator over a bed of assorted greens with cucumber, tomatoes, and picked….with a light lime dressing! One of my favs!

BBQ Shrimp. It’s Jumbo Gulf shrimp seasoned with fresh herbs and spices, served the “New Orleans Way” with French bread. NO…it’s not barbecue as in red sauce, it’s barbecue as in brown sauce. This dish was delicious!

Next came the Boudin Stuffed Shrimp! And oh my gosh, it’s one of the best flavored shrimp ever! It’s Jumbo Gulf shrimp baked with a spicy Cajun sausage, served with corn maque choux.
(Note: the sausage is not in a casing—and was divine!)

Lastly, the Lobster Boil!
It’s Drago’s version of a boil….only it’s with lobster and not crawfish. It’s packed full of lobster, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn!
And, it’s got the right spicy kick.

We paired our meals with a nice white wine….White Haven Sauvignon Blanc!
It was perfect!

Until next time….enjoy our photos and get in there! Your mouth will thank you!
