Every Pastry Explained in 15 Minutes
Most people think the croissant is French and the Danish is Danish. They’re both wrong. In this video, we reveal the surprising origins of the world’s most famous pastries — and some of the answers will completely change how you see your morning coffee order.

We break down:
• Why the croissant and the Danish are both secretly Austrian
• How baklava belongs to at least 12 countries simultaneously — and why they’re all still arguing
• The French éclair’s hollow choux trick that makes it structurally unlike any other pastry
• Why a cannoli shell must never be filled until the last possible second
• The Moroccan pastilla that puts powdered sugar on top of spiced meat — on purpose
• How the ma’amoul’s pressed geometric patterns are actually a coded filling guide

Once you know the real stories behind these pastries, you’ll never look at a patisserie window the same way again.
