I love your videos Tom, I did want to say that you're pronouncing Rioja incorrectly though. You use the Anglicized pronunciation, the J is a soft H sound, Ree-Oh Ha.Thought I'd mention it.

Tom I love the fact you've covered Rioja but unfortunately, UK supermarkets just don't sell the best Riojas. Get over to Spain – start at Haro in the heart of Rioja – and your senses will be blown for under a tenner.
Great tasting Tom, I have been down to Morrisons and purchased both of their Rioja offerings and will chug and sniff this weekend while rewatching your video. These wines are on 25% off for 6 bottles at the moment.

I tried the memoro and thought it smelt great but taste like arse. I love this channel but all the wines that youve rated highly and ive tried taste like shit. Initial strong alcohol flavour then nothing. Its like drinking red water.

Sainsbury's do a very nice Hohnen X Bodegas La Eralta Rioja, normally £10.25, but currently reduced to £8.75. It's one I always look out for when it's on offer and I can stock up.

I'm a bit disappointed to see the Sainsburys TTD in the Arse category – I've tried many of the bottles on show here and wouldn't have rated it that badly. A bad batch perhaps? And recently found the Aldi Baron Amarillo the best reliable drop. Got to get the older stuff though.

Campo Viejo smells like a yoga mat with essence of Poundland vanilla body spray, tastes like an ashtray with a waft of ham sandwich, and feels like you chewed a teabag 🤢
