Welcome onboard one of the most exclusive experiences in commercial aviation: the brand-new Air France La Première suite on the Boeing 777-300ER.
In this video, I take you through the entire journey of Air France’s flagship First Class product, from the ground experience at Paris Charles de Gaulle to the arrival in Singapore.
Air France is known for offering one of the most refined First Class ground services in the world, and today’s flight offers a slightly unusual situation. The airside La Première lounge is scheduled to close for renovation works starting at 14:00, meaning that the vestibule area is temporarily used as a transitional lounge space for departing passengers.
Despite these temporary arrangements, the exclusivity of La Première remains very much intact.
As a pleasant surprise, I am invited to spend time in one of the private lounges.
My visit to the lounge begins with a lunch served shortly after arriving, allowing me to start enjoying the La Première culinary experience right away.
Later in the evening, I return to the dining area of the lounge for a full dinner before departure, another opportunity to sample the refined cuisine that Air France is known for.
Once onboard, the star of the show immediately reveals itself: the brand-new La Première suites.
Air France has completely reimagined its First Class product, introducing an ultra-spacious suite concept that combines a large armchair, a chaise-longue style relaxation area and a fully flat bed. With only four suites in the entire cabin, the level of privacy and personal space is remarkable.
The design of the suite reflects the airline’s vision of French elegance and craftsmanship, with luxurious materials, refined lighting and beautifully integrated details throughout the cabin.
The result feels closer to a private room in the sky than a traditional aircraft seat.
During the flight, the catering is impeccable, perfectly aligned with the high standards expected from La Première. The cabin crew delivers attentive yet discreet service that enhances the overall experience.
The new entertainment system also promises an impressive experience thanks to its very large high-definition screen. However, as this new suite is still being introduced, the IFE technology is not yet operating at 100%, and a few technical issues appear during the flight.
These early glitches will likely be resolved as the product continues to mature.
With this new La Première suite, Air France is clearly aiming to redefine its flagship First Class product, combining space, privacy and the art de vivre of French luxury.
