Takorea was a Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant in Atlanta that sadly closed down a few years ago. Its sister restaurant, Hankook Taqueria, is still operating in Buckhead and it looks like their menu has these amazing fries! Chef Tomas Lee created one of the most delicious french fries I have ever tasted. This copycat recipe captures the essence of this unique twist on french fries! I didn’t have any frozen french fries so I air fried some baby potatoes I’ve been meaning to use up. I think the seasoning will work on any starchy vegetable!

Ingredients:
– 1 package of frozen french fries or 2 cups of potatoes, fried/roasted/air fried, whatever your preference!
– 1.5 tbsp roasted sesame oil
– 1 tbsp brown sugar
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp MSG
– 1 tsp gochugaru flakes

For the gochujang ketchup:
– 1-2 tbsp gochujang paste
– 2 tbsp ketchup
– 1-2 tsp of sweetener, optional if you like sweeter sauces (maple syrup, honey, etc.)

Instructions:
– Add the sesame oil, sugar, salt, MSG, and gochugaru to a large bowl and toss with the potatoes/french fries
– In a small bowl, mix the gochujang, ketchup, and optional sweetener well until all the clumps are gone
– Dip and enjoy the whole bowl!
