Even the French tuna cans are fancy! 🙂
Hello Diane. I enjoy today’s style of cooking. All fresh ingredients and staples you have on hand. Frozen vegetables and canned goods are fine especially since they show salt content and other ingredients. Your ability to substitute is inspiring too. I generally do not have leaks so I substitute white onions. I must make the baked eggs. Simple but elegant. I have also switched to using ricotta on cottage cheese because both contain 16g protein much needed especially in the morning. I too use frozen veggies especially because they are better than out of season veggies that have lost their flavor.
Im heading to the Vienne department in April staying in a gite near Chauvigny and my last week in a studio on Cardinal Lemoine near le Passage. Please keep up your excellent inspirational videos. A bientôt. Joseph.
Thanks for reminding me of sardines stuffed eggs – it's delicious and a good supper from things always in the fridge or kitchen cupboard when I haven't been shopping.

I love how you do not need to use electric gadgets to make your beautiful recipes. A question–do you store all of your kitchen gear in your kitchen? It seems like you have many wonderful large pots and baking dishes as well as small crocks for the eggs, etc.
If those are “oil cured” olives, many in the US come from Morocco, but every so often they are from France. Yes, commonly they are not Greek olives, but this Greek believes the French do a better job on this style of olive. Enjoy. Love the program.
So interesting–crustless quiche with ricotta; tuna with yogurt and harissa. Wonderful. I have also been using more mustard in my cooking since watching your videos. Merci!!!
Great dishes. This is the 1st time I’ve seen you use berries and olives which I love. Thanks.😄 I made turkey meatballs using the walnuts you suggested and they were great.
Thank you for the video. Some good ideas. I made a variation of eggs baked in cheese a couple of days ago. I buttered a dish then added some wilted spinach and strips of smoked trout. This was covered in double cream mixed with chopped chives and grated cheese. I broke an egg into the middle. My husband had two eggs, this was so tasty. I might make the tuna nicoise this week too. Congratulations to France who beat England in the final minute in the rugby. A great match.
sardine stuffed eggs have been on my lunch rotation for a while niw, thanks to you-merci!
This is such a great idea for quick and affordable meals. I really appreciate how you keep things simple but still nutritious. Thank you for the inspiration!
I love tinned sardines and mackerel you have reminded me that they are really versatile! Have a great week 😊
Great recipes, as always.
My most frugal recipes are probably soups to use up whatever veggies I have on add & adding chicken or sausage rounds I crisp up & add to the bowl.
How do you prefer to reheat the egg cups?
Your meals always look so delicious!
