March 20th. Girl Scout Cookies + Wine. We’re doing it again.
Nine cookies. Nine wines from five countries. Tasted lightest to richest – starting with Lemon-Ups and a Spanish Albariño and finishing with Exploremores and a complex French red.
Some of these pairings are wild. We paired Samoas with an Italian Amarone made from grapes that are dried for months before pressing. We paired Thin Mints with a Zinfandel from 120-year-old vines. We paired Adventurefuls with a Spanish Sherry that tastes like liquid caramel.
