I want to buy a rug as my first purchase so that it will set the tone for my place. I want to build on the colors in the rug. The last five pics are the rugs and the first three pics are my apartment. Thank you!
My vote goes to #7 but I also like 8 and 5, in that order. I think the colors in 7 balance all the grey and white while providing lots of color to pull from for decor.

I vote for the last one: it has both cool (doors/trim/floor) and warm (floor/walls) tones. The muted red is sophisticated and worth repeating (upholstery, etc). The pattern makes a design statement, and it’s not too geometric (like the floor) nor too random/washed out (like the other rugs). jmo!
