Hey everyone, I have a bit of a dilemma. This is a single pane vintage patio enclosure. This side of the house gets intense, hot sunlight, which comes through and heats the room up like a hot car with the windows closed. My dilemma is that I'm afraid to hang a curtain as I'm concerned that the direct sunlight over a 10 hour period can cause a potential fire or just general damage to the curtains. Any suggestions on what to put on this door?
I looked up window films, but it said there's something called thermal expansion, which can cause the glass to shatter indirect sunlight. Thanks for your input.

PS, sorry for my typos!
literally curtains are designed to keep sunlight out of the house and to keep the house cooler. they’re not going to cause a fire.
I suggest two layers of drapes – white sheers to diffuse the light during times of the day/year when the sun is less intense, plus thicker curtains to block out hotter summer sun.
another option is [vertical sheer shades](https://www.blinds.com/pla/blindscom-premium-vertical-sheer-shades/545487?width=24&height=36&utm_medium=pla&source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&configGuid=f5ef8ff9-1df7-48e8-b15e-e1dbad166a82&utm_campaign=acq*sem*bc-pla-privatelabel-lowSKU******g*5454872436*c*NTM***&utm_medium=pla&utm_source=gog&utm_term=&utm_content=&&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=4&gad_campaignid=22672097449&gbraid=0AAAAAD_f9XAXxEL3Tf0Mq6zcki9PWYIZP&gclid=CjwKCAiAqprNBhB6EiwAMe3yhsrdGZqojADvZkADxRRVIyDMcibVCVGEXLh8ev6WOPIp6ns_3DnoZhoCj0kQAvD_BwE) – which are sheer curtains with vertical blinds embedded. they will give you more control over how much light comes in the room while still being able to see outside, and look much better than the vertical blinds of the 80s.
There’s no concern for fire in this case, and most curtains have a white backing so the sun damage is minimal. However, I don’t think curtains work here because you don’t have enough room on the left or right to really have them sit nicely. I’d just got some roller shades. You could even get the battery powered ones from Ikea and have them automatically roll up and down on a schedule if you want.
