I finally put the labels on the batches of maple syrup we produced in 2025. Four batches, 63 jars in total, each one numbered, with slight differences in color depending on when in the season they were boiled.
“Two Estates” is my tongue in cheek nod to French wine labels that turn a dilapidated barn into a château. In our case, we turn the driveway where we boil sap into an estate, just to make it sound as fancy as French wine. I also number each bottle and note the total production, a small reference to art prints and limited runs.
I’m an entrepreneur based in Connecticut, and outside of building game prototypes for a living, I spend a lot of time on hands on projects like making maple syrup, backyard beekeeping, building a lakeside sauna, and occasional cold plunges.
