Even after all the searching in this sub that I did before I measured and ordered them…I fear I should have hung them right under the ceiling. This would make the curtains too short though and I'd really rather not return them and reorder (although I can if you guys really think I should). That table and the various other things won't be there forever. Eventually we'll probably get a rectangular dining table to go under that window. It's a very gloomy day so the lighting isn't great, sorry! The space is usually very bright.
What do y'all think about the curtains?

They are fine as is.
Looks great!
looks fine to me. raising the curtain rod another couple inches is not going to magically make your ceilings look vaulted or something and it’s not right on the top of the window. seems good
I think it’s the perfect height. If you’re looking for dimension with the white neutral tones, add a colorful sheer curtain to bring color to the room.
Nope! They’re perfect
imo they look totally fine. If you moved the rod up to the ceiling the curtains would be too short, and that honestly looks way worse. I think keeping them right where they are is the best move since they touch the floor perfectly.
They look great! I think it might look weird if they were any higher! Great job!!
Fine as is but maybe look for a center support for the rod to keep it level and not sagging in the middle. That is a long curtain rod.
Looks good to me! That’s a really nice space with the wide window
I would personally end them about 5-6cm below the windowsill maximum
