I recently started living completely alone. I moved into this motel-turned-studio apartment, so it wasn’t exactly the most classy to begin with. But I decided to go with a sort of 1970s-inspired vibe. But does it look tacky? I’ve started to think maybe I’ve leaned in a little too hard and incorporated too many blues that it almost looks childish.

no. Maybe just fluff your couch pillows and perhaps a new bed cover (not red) to bring it all together and ground it to seem intentionally eclectic. It’s fun and funky and vibey. Do you have a lava lamp?
It is not tacky at all. I like it a lot. It’s cozy, different, and cohesive.
Maybe also something above the bed. Painting or wall sticker /faux headboard. Plants. That space just feels hit empty and if you fill it I think it’ll look great

The shoe organizer is smart for a studio. Function over form when space is tight.
No, it looks collected and pretty cohesive to me. Little pops of whimsy. I think the bed is the only thing that needs a little something…probably a tall headboard or something hanging, but not too heavy.

No, I love it, but I might be biased because I have a similar vibe at my place. It’s cute! It has personality and warmth. I’d hang a few plants near the window 🫶 and keep adding to that gallery wall!
