Got inspired by a friend’s book shelf and wanted to organize all my books in one place. I love little details in bookshelves but my husband doesn’t like “layered decor” lol so what do we think of this so far? (Kids book at the bottom)

It’s a good use of a narrow space. A very good start. I have to admit, the plant hanger hanging crookedly against the shelf and impinging toward what should be clear ‘flow’ space is disconcerting. Can you hang it from a ceiling hook? It would be so much more graceful that way. Also, tidy the kids books area or move to a less prominent space. Maybe buy a basket where they could be stacked and slid out when being used.
