In the second stop of my deep dive into the French Judo Performance System, I head to the capital of Europe: Strasbourg. 🥨🥋
For three days, I was granted exclusive access to the Pôle France Strasbourg, one of the main “factories” for the future stars of French judo. Guided by Yacine Douma, I followed the daily grind of these young athletes. From high-intensity randoris to the unique brotherhood that exists off the mats, this episode explores what it really takes to reach the top in France.
But being a Judo Nomad is about more than just the dojo. Between training sessions, I explore the mysteries of the Strasbourg Cathedral—from the “Devil’s Wind” to the legendary Green Ray—and reunite with my old roommate from my days in Japan, Victor.
