My room has a frosted sliding door and i can still see shadows and light through it. I live with my family so it doesn’t feel very private especially sound. I can hear when someone walks by and I can hear most things outside 😭😭
I can’t replace the door so I’m looking for other ways to make it more private… Any ideas?

Sound deadening black out curtains
You could hang a thick blanket on it.
Maybe add a curtain
You might want to put up a curtain rod over the inside of the doorway and get a sound-damping blanket to use as a curtain. You would be able to pull the curtain to the stationary side of the door and across the closed door for privacy. It wouldn’t soundproof the room but would help with the light and noise. There are several types available, some with grommets (for a half-inch rod) or with loops at top for a curtain rod to go through. The ones with loops come in 96″H x 80″ wide panels
