  1. 🍞 Baked French Toast (Easy + Cozy)

    Ingredients
    • 1 loaf bread (French bread, brioche, or challah work best), cubed
    • 6 large eggs
    • 2 cups milk (or half-and-half for extra rich)
    • ½ cup heavy cream (optional but amazing)
    • ¾ cup brown sugar
    • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
    • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
    • 1½ tsp cinnamon
    • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • 4 tbsp butter, melted

    Optional toppings
    • Powdered sugar
    • Maple syrup
    • Fresh berries
    • Streusel (see below 👇)

    Instructions
    1. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
    2. Spread bread cubes evenly in the dish.
    3. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and melted butter.
    4. Pour mixture over bread. Press gently so everything gets soaked.
    5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight (best texture!)
    —OR—
    Bake right away if needed.
    6. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 40–45 minutes, until puffed and golden.

    ✨ Optional Streusel Topping

    Mix together:
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup flour
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 4 tbsp cold butter (cut in)

    Sprinkle on top before baking for a crunchy finish 😍
