Should be allowed to chore atleast one item when you are on a quid budget. The amount of chicken I stole throughout my 3 years at university was incredible.
You might be able to make a croque monsieur with a tomato instead of meat? Small baguette or reduced loaf of bread 25p, tomato 10p, small bechamel sauce or processed cheese 65p? Best chance of getting reduced stuff will be to go in just before the shop closes.
