Please don’t make fun, I just moved in two days ago 😬
This is my place at 17:15 (Nordics). As you can see it gets gloomy quick, and I need to buy light fixtures for my main room and bedroom.
I am intending to install smart lights (I was thinking Philips Hue, unless there’s a dark horse out there that is wildly better), but I am so dumb when it comes to the right kind of lighting for any room. This is for a burnt-out autist, so I need lights that I can adjust brightness/colour.
I welcome any kind of smart light solution, including lamps or light strips.

Definitely use philips hue bulbs, just be creative where you put them. I recommend a large (given vaulted ceilings) hanging paper lamp, sunset lamp on bedside table or desk, pointed at either a wall or ceiling or both. get some shelves with lamps of your choice. cut the cable and attach battery powered bulbs. just be sure to get a warm color.
For an art studio, LEDs with high CRI and 5000K–5500K are recommended.
5000K–5500K is a neutral white color temperature that will help to avoid yellow or blue color casts and is ideal for simulating daylight and accurate color perception.
CRI stands for Color Rendering Index. A CRI of 90 or higher is crucial to ensure natural, accurate colors. Daylight has a CRI of 100.
Use bright, even illumination.
To avoid glare and use high-mounted, angled lightning.
Use portable lights that mimic daylight that you can move around your space.
There are SO many brands, types, and sizes to choose from! If you do a search, you will find many options.
Good luck! You have a beautiful place!
