I want to avoid the “cozy” aesthetic. I bought this rug a few months ago and I would like to make use of it instead of switching it out and selling it.
I am wondering what style would suit my living room.
I love love that rug. And I’m not one to gravitate towards green.

The rug looks great, you just need more furniture. I’d move the couch to be facing the tv and move the chair where you have the tall palm(?) in the corner and flip the coffee table around

Forgive me, your rug looks like a blackboard.

Slide the rig and living room as a whole down closer to the window. Turn the sofa either to the tv our at the window to better define the space. The space you open up could be open and empty or add a small table or something.

The green rug looks fine, you may try changing its pattern for that consistent cozy feel always. Also try adding some furniture pieces like a square coffee table in front of your couch with some storage option for best utility and to get that complete look.
