For the Amarula Filling:
– 100g cream cheese, softened
– 2 tbsp icing sugar
– 2 tbsp Amarula
– Pinch of salt
– ½ tsp vanilla extract

For the Custard:
– 2 large eggs
– 1/4 cup milk
– 2 tbsp Amarula
– 1 tsp sugar
– ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
– Pinch of salt

For the French Toast Stack:
– 4 slices sandwich bread
– Butter or oil for frying
– Maple syrup or honey

  1. Try using brioche bread. I don't know where you are situated, but Paul makes brioche or you could make your own. I absolutely love your amarula cream filling.

  2. I've tasted Canadian maple syrup and it's quite a lot nicer than South African maple syrup, unless ours is also imported.
