Did you know skipping this place would’ve been a HUGE mistake?
Welcome to La Buchette, in Québec City.
From the moment you walk in, it feels warm, cozy, and full of character
wood details, antler chandeliers, and that classic Québec charm.
The menu blends traditional Québecois flavors with French influences,
and everything here is rich and comforting.
We started with crispy shrimp croquettes
and a deeply flavored French Onion Soup, perfectly gratinéed.
Then came the mains:
a creamy Tartiflette à l’Origine de Charlevoix,
slow-braised Bœuf Bourguignon,
Mafaldines à la Bolognaise with Béchamel and Hercule cheese,
and beautifully seared lion’s mane mushrooms with seasonal flavors.
Even the kids’ meal came with an edible maple cookie you can paint yourself.
And for dessert, a light angel cake with seasonal fruit coulis.
There’s a quick glimpse of the menu in the video. You might want to screenshot.
Prices shown are in CAD $.
Fun facts:
• La Buchette means “little log” in French, fitting its cozy, rustic vibe.
• It’s owned by the same team as La Buche, the popular sugar-shack-style restaurant in Old Québec, and is often called its “little sister.”
