In this video, I recreate Julia Childβs iconic Beef Bourguignon, first published in Mastering the Art of French Cooking in 1961. More than just a recipe, this dish represents Julia Childβs lasting legacy and her role in bringing classic French cuisine into American homes.
I walk through the historical context of the dish, Julia Childβs influence on modern cooking, and why Beef Bourguignon became one of the most recognizable recipes of the 20th century. Then I cook the dish step by step and give my honest review of the final result. Enjoy!

Oh i thought it was more difficult to make than that
Growing up in 60s just about everything my mom made came from a box or a can. She drew the line at Spaghetti O's, Tang and TV dinners though.
