Journey to the Château, Ep. 381 – In this episode, Patrick and Stuart continue a first floor chateau renovation that includes 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. They install 2 mirrors that were previously located in other areas of the chateau. Patrick frames out the door frame to the new walk-in closet, and then sews and installs custom curtains and a valance for the entrance.

Join Patrick and Stuart on their journey to find a neglected, forgotten, or crumbling château or castle in their escape to rural France, and then continue to follow them as they show how to renovate a chateau with its restoration, rénovation, decoration, and furnishing. Along the way, they will also create and share videos on their preparation for having gîtes for guests, and an event venue in their chateau (wedding, birthday, anniversary, organization or club meetings, retreats, etc.).

  2. Oh yes. The valence is beautiful. Great work Patrick. Stuart, riding on the desk top was hilarious!

  3. Great job on the long drapes for bedroom. Rooms are coming along Do you need a new window shade in your bedroom?

  4. I'm so impressed with all that you're doing the bedroom looks really really well done. I feel like the other person you two do seem perkier and More alive and wanting to do things,

  5. I had a desk like that when I worked at Medtronic HQ. They had those for all of their employees. I really loved that desk! The pre-set heights are fantastic, and being able to switch from sitting to standing really helped with sore backs, for me and my coworkers. Some employees brought in a yoga ball as an additional chair option.
Stuart, your intros are always so lovely. I hope you enjoy making them as much as we enjoy watching them. ♥️♥️♥️
I’m so glad your pup is doing as well as can be expected. ♥️👍
Love how those curtains and trim turned out, and the valance idea is great. That mirror is just the right height for the room.
How exciting to finally get to the point of creating more spaces for yourselves, like the office. And I know you’ll love the China room and bar.

  6. Love the curtains and valance! The room looks great with the matching Bed crown. Beutiful!! ♥

  7. Patrick and Stuart, I’m so glad to see the number of subscribers increasing. I could not understand why more people weren’t following you!! You’re such an authentic couple and have such great taste. I love all that you do! So hoping to see you’ll hit 100k soon. Much love to you both from Australia (where it has been unbelievably hot and where we’ve had both floods and bushfires within a week!). Love from Lois and Philip
