I found this on Pinterest and it’s the EXACT layout of my future apartment. I’ve found the coffee table and tv stand already and I want to keep them white. But I’m not sure what kind of color scheme to give the rest so it doesn’t look so.. boring?

Agree with the pillow comment! If you have a world market near you they have the best pillows

Personally I love a statement couch, mine is a bright rusty orange and I love how it brightens up my millennial grey apartment.

Add some color. Gray can read warm when paired with the right colors. Everything in this picture is essentially grayscale- white, black and gray. That makes it feel cold and sterile. It needs some browns, yellows, reds, or oranges. Some live greenery would help as well. Maybe some gold or brass accents rather than all silver.

Just saying not an expert at all, maybe switch the mirror with a nice shelf with pictures or with a plant and get some colourful pillows.

Bring in color and pattern with curtains, a fun rug, and throw pillows.

If you don’t already have the gray couch, I would opt for a more colorful one.

you could put this photo in black & white and no one would even notice. I feel like adding even a single color would help.

Lighting can help. Getting a lamp that with warm white bulbs and colored lamp shade can bring warmth and color. There are funky lamps out there. Some people do the sunset lamps or strip lights with the full RGB options.
